It is a current model and available new in Japan.  In New Zealand, similar model is available new for $4,245.00 RRP.  Yamaha 500 series are professional models, which offer a handcrafted finish, and famous for its soft and warm sound.

The YFL514 comes with the EC headjoint (solid silver), which features high chimney walls and a unique undercut designed to perfectly complement the Type 4 scale. The EC is characterized by tonal resonance and a comfortable, natural-feeling playability.
