We are very lucky to get this "Japan Vintage" saxophone (collector's item) in excellent condition from Japan directly. Yamaha introduced YAS61 as their first professional model alto saxophone and it was produced from 1967 for a short period time.
In all my years in this business, I have never seen a YAS61 alto in such pristine condition.
This instrument was modelled after Selmer Paris MKVl. The sound and balance action is amazing. A warm, dark and mellow tone makes this instrument a great find. Plenty of life and spirit in this old girl.
